5 Ways to Say "Thank You" with a Lollipop


There are so many reasons to thank someone. It could be because your neighbor stopped by to water your plants while your away, or maybe because a long distance friend cleared her schedule to come see you on your birthday. You may be at a loss about how you can show this person just how much you appreciate them. Here are five ways we like to say "thank you" to the people in our lives.


1) Bake Something Extra Sweet

Cake is great alone and so are lollipops, but why not put them together? Using lollipops as cake decorations is a unique and fun way to show someone you appreciate them. Just your favorite cake or cupcake recipe and jazz it up with some Original Gourmet Lollipops. They look pretty enough on there own but sitting atop a beautiful homemade treat is sure to bring smiles from ear to ear. You can get creative with the flavors and color schemes too! Its all up to you, and there is surely a flavor out there for every palate.

What you will need:
  • Your favorite cake or cupcake recipe (or box mix)
  • Icing
  • Original Gourmet Lollipops (any of our 26 flavors!)
  • Optional: Sprinkles
Directions:

Bake and cool your cake or cupcakes and get to decorating. The options are unlimited but take a look at some of our creations above for inspiration!


 2) Write a Note (Get crafty with it!)


A handmade card is always a thoughtful gesture when thanking someone and it doesn't have to be complicated or elaborate to be special! Here is a quick, fun and simple butterfly card craft that will show someone just how much you appreciate them.

What you will need:
  • Card stock or construction paper (any color)
  • Pipe-cleaners
  • Markers pens or pencils
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • An Original Gourmet Lollipop (any flavor)
Directions:
  1. Take your paper and fold it in half hamburger style.
  2. With a pencil, lightly draw one side of your butterflies wings against the fold (this shape may  resemble the top half of a heart but you can be creative here).
  3. Cut out your shape and before unfolding cut 2 small slits along the center of the fold about    1/2 inch apart
  4. Open up your butterfly and decorate it however you like.
  5. Cut a piece of pipe cleaner about 5 inches long and bend it in half. Tape it to the back of your  butterfly's head.
  6. Insert your lollipop into the slit in the center of your butterfly card.

3) Craft a Tasty Arrangement


What do flowers and Original Gourmet lollipops have in common? They are both pretty and come in an assortment of eye-catching colors! Flowers are a traditional way of saying thank you but why just be traditional. We think lollipops make everything more fun!

What you will need:

- Original Gourmet Lollipops
- Flowers with strong stems cut to about 6 inches long
- A flower pot
- 2 Styrofoam balls held together with a wooden skewer

Directions
  1. Place the Styrofoam balls one on top of the other, like your building a snowman and secure them with a wooden skewer. 
  2. Place the Styrofoam inside the flower pot (If the foam does not fit you can trim the edges with a knife to allow it to fit). 
  3. Start poking holes around the surface of the top piece of Styrofoam.
  4. Place flowers and lollipops into the holes you created and arrange both pops and flowers evenly around the sphere.


4) Create a Mason Jar Assortment

Mason jars are the foundation to many great gifts. They can be easily decorated and filled with just about anything, even lollipops! Not only do they make a pretty lollipop holder, they can be re-used and recycled in many different ways after all the suckers have been enjoyed. Or maybe just filled with more pops! What you will need:
  • A mason jar 
  • Original Gourmet Lollipops 
  • Acrylic paint & brushes
  • Glitter glue
  • Ribbon or twine
  • Gift tag or card stock
  • Scissors
  • Hole-puncher
Directions:Get crafting! Paint and decorate your mason jar however you like. When your creation is dry, wrap a ribbon around the neck of the jar with your gift tag attached and tie it up in a bow. Now you can fill it up and its ready to go!     5) Make It Cute Sweet & Simple

Saying thank you doesn't have to be a huge project. Sometimes sweet and simple is all you need to get your point across. what's sweeter and simpler than a simple Original Gourmet Lollipop wrapped up in string? You don't need a laundry list of supplies and you don't need hours of time either! Simply pick one or 2 or 3 of our 26 flavors and tie them up with some ribbon or twine. Stick on a note that lets the receiver know just how much you care and they will be smiling all day long.
